The Curious Case of Deja Vu

Ever had the feeling that you've experienced a situation before, even though you're certain it's your first time in that exact moment? Welcome to the world of 'Deja Vu'!

'Deja Vu', a French term that literally means 'already seen', is a common phenomenon experienced by approximately 60-70% of people. It's that eerie feeling of familiarity with a situation that should be entirely new. But what causes this?

While there's no definitive explanation, one theory suggests it's a hiccup in the brain's memory system. The idea is that the brain takes a new experience and accidentally files it in the 'memory' drawer instead of the 'incoming information' drawer, creating a sense of familiarity.

So, the next time you get a feeling of Deja Vu, don't worry, you're not clairvoyant or stuck in a glitch in the matrix. It's just your brain playing its mysterious tricks!
